Classroom Reveal ... FINALLY!

Ok, we have now officially been in school for 2 weeks! And I am finally ready to reveal my classroom pics to the Blogger World!
My school is fairly new, just recently opened in 2013 with just one Prek and two Kindergarten classrooms, with additional grades and classrooms added each year. My Kindergarten classroom was added this school year to make four K classrooms. The growth is happening fast!

So, with that being said, I wasn't working with much, since it is a new K classroom.

I currently have 18 kids and my room is the perfect for the size!
I went with a Chalkboard theme because my classroom has a lot of white space and I knew black and bold colors would stand out!
It is not 100% yet. I wish I had more furniture, but I know as the year moves along, I will find things here and there to add to the classroom. But for now, this is what it looks like!

It took alot of work to start from scratch again, but this is my Kindergarten classroom, and I LOVE it! As time passes, I know I will tweak the set up of the centers and the arrangement of the tables several times! (Hell, I already have done so about 3 times already in the past 2 weeks!)
But at least for the next few weeks,
it will be a work in progress!

It's Back to School Time!

Yay! It's one of my favorite times of year!
It's Back To School Time!
And, NO it is not because the kids will be out of the house and busy all day, as opposed to sitting at home some days, bored out of their minds... Well, that is part of it.
But not only am I excited that they are going back to school-- I am excited because I am, too! I enjoyed my year off from teaching (even though I did miss it alot) and now it is time to get back into a classroom and do what I do best: Teach preschool children!
I realize that it has been over a month since I last posted here on my blog and NO, I didn't neglect my blog once my Facebook Page launched, I just really had no time to sit and actually blog. The munchkin and I have continued to do fun learning activities throughout the summer, they just (unfortunately) didn't make it onto the blog.  July was a VERY busy month- busier than I had expected it to be! We had family come to visit and then took off to Myrtle Beach (which was awesome!) and then when we got back, a job was offered and I gladly accepted! And since then, I have been in a Back to School state of mind.
I have been thinking alot about my blog this week and it is going to be 3 years old soon! I am looking around to try and redesign it this school year! I have no clue where to start but the plans are in the works! Hopefully by Christmas I can get it all together.
Anyhow, I am planning a small Back to School Giveway in the next 2 weeks. Any prize ideas that you would like me to consider?? Please share what kinds of goodies you like to win!
Well, back to being crafty and creating my fun Jungle classroom decor! I can't wait to show you what I have been working on!

Back to School...Back to Preschool Fun!

Wow has it really been almost 2 weeks since my last post??

Where have I been? I will tell you where I have been... lost in some Back To School Black Hole!! =)

Today was the first day of school and it went surprisingly very well!!  The day was not without a few minor meltdowns and a puker... yup, someone puked today!

But all in all the day went well. Maybe it had something to do with the fact that only 15 of our 19 enrolled students showed up.... We shall see what the day holds tomorrow!

My goal is to get up & moving on this blog by the end of the week. This includes classroom pics, Open House ideas and other fun sorts of things. Sorry to those who actually read this and have been awaiting a post from me!! I don't know how some bloggers manage to juggle it all...

But as for now, my main focus is on getting my new munchkins into the routine and hopefully establish a calm learning environment, despite the challenges that I may face this year...

So, off I go to relax for the night, after a good start to this school year and I hope tomorrow will be just as awesome!
